About 'Grey Sister' Vlog...

  1. I really enjoyed the sample - it's so dreamy and wistful. I love old libraries too. I included one in my own book - complete with ladders and musty old leather-bound books. Yours is more evocative than mine, though. The books are sleeping - just as all the sisters are sleeping their way through life. By the end, I was desperate for someone to burst in and wake them all up. Especially Thea, who seemed lonely even while she claimed the noise made it difficult. There was a lyrical kind of sadness throughout the chapter too. I was sad about Myrah's deafness and longing for a bedtime story. I was sad about Vilette (despite having no idea what happened between her and Thea!) And the story about the two original sisters who died apart, was terribly sad, of course. There's also a definite sense that something exciting is going to happen soon - I hope so. I'm going to buy this when you've found a publisher xx

  2. Thank you very much. I'm so glad you liked it. It so nerve-racking to realise some of the book into the big scary internet: I feel like I'm sending my first born to school!
